A couple of month's ago our Fuhrer sent us all and email to see who wanted to join him in the Silverstone half Marathon.  Many of us put our hands up, many of us not knowing just how much preparation was needed to get to a level to be able to run 13 + miles (especially in my case).  Although still not up to this distance, most nights, windy and rainy ones included I've been putting the miles in, in my quest to get fit to finish in a respectable time. 

The Marathon is in less than 2 months time so there'll be plenty more cold, wet, tiresome evenings to come in my case :-(  The main thing is that's it's all being done for a good cause.  We've taken on Beat as our nominated charity.  Beat is a charity that helps people that have eating disorders many of whom are just children.

As it's such a good cause I hope that I can rely on you to sponsor me for this event ;-)
