Story
This summer I took part in a series of runs in order to fundraise for Mind - a big challenge for the girl who hadn't stepped foot in a gym before 2015. I managed to raise £225.00 in total which is more than I could have hoped but this time I'm hoping to do one better.
January will mark a year since I started using exercise as therapy. Never before had I used running for self-help and boosting mood but it really did me the world of good. Since starting uni, it's been difficult to get back into the gym but this will be my motivation.
January can be a difficult time, especially for those suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression which for many hits during the winter months. In order to raise money for mental health, next month I'll be running everyday in order to raise money for Mind, a mental health charity who do excellent work. While there is no official target, I have given myself my own personal goal to cover 120k throughout the month - at least 4k a day. Any slacking and it rolls over to the next!
Let's be red this January. Not blue.
