Story
I started feeling a bit odd during the summer holidays. I had a cold all the time. I kept getting headaches which was really annoying. My shoes hurt. I just wanted to watch TV at the weekends. Sometimes I got hot at night in bed. One night my tummy got really big.
The local doctor thought I just had a bug but my school nurse told mummy and daddy that we should get a blood test done because my skin was really pale and my tummy was big. We went to hospital and they said that I had "ALL" (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia).
Mummy said my bone marrow has trouble making good blood cells and they need to zap the nasty ones.
Daddy bought me a new computer so I thought that I would set up this sponsorship page and try and raise some money for the Royal Marsden to thank them all for being so nice and helping me to get better.
There are lots of other charities that are helping us and I would like to raise money for them in the future, including Rockinghorse, CLIC Sargent, The Little Princess Trust, Caring Hair & Remember Spencer.
Daddy keeps noticing all those men on motorbikes in their shiny jackets with BLOOD written on their backs racing backwards and forwards from London now. Its a bit like Where's Wally. He says that they are everywhere. See if you can spot one when you are in the car. We should all find time to give blood and platelets when we are grown up to help other children to zap the nasty cells and get better like me.
