Story
I'll be taking part of a Team event for various charities, I have chosen St Giles Hospice in Walsall because of the support and fantastic care they give to their patients, I have seen first hand the hard work and dedication that they offered my Uncle Jimmy who Sadly lost his battle with cancer in March 2013.
The Event itself is a 37 mile Tab (tactical advance to battle) but I'm guessing it will be more like a brisk hike in this weather! We will be carrying 35 lbs of Kit (15 kgs approx) From Mount Pleasant Complex to Stanley in the Falkland Islands (in the South Atlantic) following a not so different route to the one used in 1982 advance to Stanley. For those that do not know the terrain of the Falklands.... picture the Highlands / Breccon Beacons with stronger winds and more rain / snow / sleet / occasional sun / sheep and the odd signposted minefield.
I urge you to all support this great cause so St Giles Walsall Hospice can continue to offer the help, support and care that families and patients need! Any Donation is better than none!
Thanks For taking time to read this!
