Fundraising for Mind
Story
'If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.'
On July 2nd 2015 a talented and tremendously loved man took his own life. Joshua Sutherland was my cousin, my first ever best friend, someone I've looked up to since I first opened my eyes, someone who convinced me to do every stupid and dangerous thing I ever did while growing up, someone who inspired me to see the world and someone I truly cannot understand how to live without.
Tragically, Josh was also someone who struggled with pain that none of us will ever understand and someone who eventually was overcome by the effects of mental illness.
Suicide is now the biggest killer of men under 40 in the UK. Mind are an incredible charity that not only strive to support and understand people suffering with mental illness but also those who have been affected by it second-hand.
Becky, Emily, Kate, Jade Jenni and I are running the Silverstone Half Marathon in March 2016 to try and raise funds for Mind. Most of you will know that this will be an amusing sight to see and I urge you to donate even the smallest amount and spur us on.
