Story
It was a warm sunny Tuesday morning when I checked my emails on the way to work. Sifting through my general day-to-day messages, Uptown Funk blaring in my ears, I spied the subject heading 'half marathon - who's up for it?'. In my morning hype and euphoria I happily accepted the challange. It was 2 months away, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
AT THE TIME!
Now it's round the corner - what was I thinking?! I've had more sprained ankles, blisters and foot cramps than I can count! Not to mention shin splints, aching knees and one hell of a sore back. But it's worth it, and I wouldnt go through all this for any charity.
Sue Ryder provides amazing care for those who a have lifechanging diagnosis and supports family members during the hardest times. Without care like that, imagine how much harder those times could and would be.
They treat more conditions than any other UK charity in their hospices as well as campaigning to improve the lives of people living with them.
I'll run 13 miles, maybe i'll crawl, maybe i'll fall or walk or roll but i'll finish my first ever half marathon and raise as much as I can. Any small amount will help so dig deep!
Thankyou xx
