We provide specialist care and support to life-threatened children & their family

Story

There are around 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life-threatening or life-limiting condition that may require palliative care services, and 333 of them are currently being cared for by the children’s hospices of East Anglia. Caring for a child or young person with a life-threatening illness, often for 24 hours a day seven days a week, can put a huge strain on family life, but the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) tailor their support and care to the needs to every patient.

Over 540 families and 59 siblings are currently being given short-break care, emotional and psychological support, symptom management, care at end of life, bereavement support and many activities and therapies from EACH. They rely heavily on donations to provide their excellent services, which is why fundraising is so important.

Tamzin, Justin, Tom, Rachel, Kevin and Gavin from Fine & Country Cambridge are teaming up to run the Chariots of Fire relay race in September to raise money for EACH. They are keen to support such an important local charity, and raise money by running a race with such a great team spirit. Over 400 teams compete in the event every year, so there’s a lot of support for both the runners and the chosen charity.

Support East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and the Fine & Country Cambridge team today by donating on their Just Giving page. Thank you.
