Story

On Saturday 22nd August I will be doing the Tough Mudder Challenge. This involves running 10miles, as well as completing (or attempting to!) the obstable course challenges (including a 10ft wall, ice pools, and electrocution). Basically... It looks frickin' terrifying!

If you have reached this page it means you are thinking about sponsoring me... writing this now, I'm starting to have palpatations.. so please sponsor me so that this horrible experience will be more worthwhile! Please don't let me be tortured in vain!

So, where will your hard earned cash go?...

Re-building Sri Lanka is a charity run by my lovely Yoga teacher, Clare Allen. It was started after the Tsunami of 2004, which wiped out entire villages on the south and eastern coastlines of Sri Lanka. The people there are still feeling the effects of this disaster, and Clare and her team are commited to improving their quality of life. They have built housing, schools and libraries. They have built boats to help fisherman back in to work to be able to provide for their families and communities. They also continue to supply 4 hospitals in the area with medical supplies.

This is a small charity, so 100% of what you give will go directly to the people who need it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.

Thank yoouu!!

Rebuilding Sri Lanka was founded by a group of individuals and families who were staying in Sri Lanka at the time of the tsunami in 2004. We are united by a love of Sri Lanka and its people and a desire to help Sri Lankans to re-establish their lives and have access to improved educational resources. We have received donations from friends and families around the world. Many individuals, schools, businesses and clubs have generously given their time and money to our appeal.
