THE FACTS
- Based in Esher the Princess Alice Hospice cares for people with cancer and other illnesses living in a large part of Surrey, South West London and Middlesex.
The hospice is a local charity dedicated to providing free, high-quality compassionate care and support for patients, their families and carers.
Every £1 donated 84p is spent on delivering their care and support,
11p is spent on fundraising to secure further donations and
ONLY 5p is spent on management and administration.
The cost of providing services in 2013/2014 was £9.1 million with only 23% of this being funded by the NHS.
They have to raise approximately £7million themselves.

Education – leading provider of training and education in palliative care and end of life care.
