Story
Well its that time again! Rachel and Emma are back in full training to run the Great North Run for a second time for CLIC Sargent.
We run for CLIC Sargent because it was one of the first charities to support our friends Cath and Paul Brooks when their then 2 year old daughter Anna was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Anna is now 4 years old and due to start at primary school in September along with ringing that all important end of Treatment bell on Ward 84 Manchester Childrens Hospital. She will still require regular monitoring to check everything is well but we are all hopeful that for this family at least, some normality once again may return.
Our friends and many families like them have to deal with the realities and practicalities of having a child with Cancer, along with the emotional stresses that come with living with a child with Cancer. It is not an easy path, filled with much worry and fear for what the future may hold. CLIC Sargent provide these families with services and support designed to ease some of that worry and stress.
Please make a donation, no matter how small. Myself and Emma, fund our own entry, transport and accommodation for these events, so all funds raised are for CLIC Sargent..
