In 2015, BAKO North Western Group made a huge pledge; to raise
£50,000 over 4 years in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our depots in Preston, Wimbledon and Durham undertake many individual fundraising events on a monthly and sometimes even weekly basis so it has been decided to channel these many efforts to this single cause in the hope that we can make a real difference.

If this terrible disease strikes, the patient, family, friends and colleagues will experience an immediate and significant change in their everyday lives. Macmillan provide help and support for cancer patients and their family and friends, from providing emotional support to offering a lift to the next hospital appointment, Macmillan nurses are just there!

Except, they aren’t ‘just there’ – it takes a wealth of voluntary effort by a huge number of people to help raise the funds necessary to maintain the network of Macmillan support.  Support that we will almost ALL need to rely on one day.
