Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am taking part in the the One Day Big Walk Challenge in September 2015 which will see over 100 individuals from the University of Sheffield walk from Edale to Sheffield covering over 18 miles.

 As part of the wider team we are doing this to raise funds for Lung Disease research at the University of Sheffield, specifically  research in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension - a life–threatening condition affecting the lungs and the right side of the heart. The money raised from this event will accelerate the amount of research being done to help develop and test new treatments and make them available for patients as quickly as possible.

I am also taking part in this event for my own personal reasons having relatives who have suffered similar conditions which make it difficult for them to carry out even normal day to day activities.
