Joyce and Teds Hospice 100

On Saturday July 11 2015 I, along with 15 others, will be cycling over 100 miles to raise money for St Mary's Hospice, Ulverston.

We are cycling from Salford to Ulverston, a trip of over 100 miles. 

Ted was the Grandfather of a friend who has organised this event.

The reason for this challenge is because as a young man Ted would make this journey on his bike (Imagine that on a bike made over 60 years ago !) every other weekend to visit Joyce whom he had met whilst she was displaced during the second world war. 

Their love blossomed and they went on to enjoy a 65 year marriage before their unfortunate passing within the space of 3 weeks of each other earlier this year...they just couldn't bare to be apart!
