We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Between 14th September and 7th December Team Turtle Power will be swimming  22 miles - the same distance as across the English Channel - to raise money for people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury.

I calculated that I would need to swim about 120 lengths of my local pool EVERY WEEK in order to complete this challenge by myself so I have drafted in my husband and my mum to help me out. You can find their fundraising profiles in the Team Turtle Power page.

I'm hoping I will be able to improve my swimming technique from 'flailing and frantically trying not to drown' to 'quite competent, all things considered' during this challenge as well as raising money for Aspire.

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It can happen to anyone at any time, and there is currently no cure. Every pound that I raise means that Aspire can provide practical help to a spinal injured person, allowing them to live a more independent life, so please donate as much as you can and help make a difference.
