In memory of Paul 'Charlie' Charman
We provide a helpline, and webchat service to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

Some of us from Team 2 Major Crime Unit in Beds, Cambs and Herts Police, will be attempting the British 3 Peaks Challenge on 25th and 26th June 2015.

This is in memory of a friend and colleague who sadly died last year. He was a father of two young children. He was an outstanding copper and is sorely missed by those of us that knew him

We are fundraising for CALM – (Campaign Against Living Miserably)

A charity which provides a telephone and internet helpline for men who are struggling emotionally to cope with life.

In 2013 there were 6,233 suicides in the UK, of which 78% were men. That’s just over 13 every single day!

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged under 49 in the UK.

I must be bonkers with my ankles!!!

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
