Story
Suzanne my wife and I are doing a 23 mile bike ride around Rutland Water in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association
(MNDA). We know a good friend who has the disease which is nothing short of devastating and to happen to such a lovely man who is a husband, father to two lovely girls and a great friend is simply tragic.
All funds raised will go to researching a cure for the disease and to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease (also known as ALS).
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.
MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.
We appreciate your generosity in helping us support those living with this disease.
