We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

I am taking part in the Galliford Try Cycle relay from Lands End to John O’ Groats, from 11th – 14th June 2015. We have 14 GT Teams comprising of a total of 80 riders doing a relay of 981 miles. We are aiming to raise over £50,000 for Cancer Research.

With this being a non-stop event, many are riding through the night to pass the baton to the next leg. The event is organised internally by Galliford Try, and teams will be responsible for arranging their own transport, logistics, mechanical support and refreshment.

The Teams include riders from different Galliford Try divisions, and include Linden Homes and Morrison Construction.

My Team, are riding the 67miles from Runcorn, Cheshire to Slaidburn, Lancashire, with over 3,500ft of climbing. I have been training in the Peak District and recently took part in the Tour Du Yorkshire, which was great practice for the hills!

Galliford Try have offered to add an extra £4,000 to £6,000 to the total depending if we hit the target of £50,000. All contributions will be direct to Cancer Research.

Please donate what you can for Cancer Research, and support Galliford Try's Relay effort.

Many thanks,

Ed
