I have entered the Cardiff Triathlon to try and raise money for the Velindre Cancer Centre. I only have a 800m swimming badge (which was achieved some time ago!), have never completed in a triathlon and only rode a road bike for the first time this year. I am going for the full Olympic distance which is 1500m open water swim, followed by a 40k bike ride and a 10k run. 

I have been doing lots of training (and had lots of injuries) but I am motivated by the fact that my grandmother passed away in August 2014 after losing her long battle against cancer and this is very worthy cause that I want to help. I hope that I can help to relieve some of the pain and suffering of those families and individuals who have been affected by cancer. 

Please give generously as my employer has amazingly agreed to match fund any sponsorship (up to a limit) so every £1 you sponsor me can mean £2 going to Velindre.
