Story

POST RIDE UPDATE!  I did it!  No problem at all :-)  I had loads of fun cycling round the Greenway, and particularly enjoyed the lovely refreshment stops and the picnic lunch.  Mummy cycled all the way with me, and our friends Anna and her mummy Felicity also cycled with me although they had to stop often to let me catch up.  I got to the picnic area about an hour after the other riders, but that's because I was having so much fun cycling!  I even stopped to pick a few dandelion clocks (see photo).  I quite enjoyed pedalling backwards when I wasn't pedalling forwards and I zigzagged across the track whenever possible - I probably cycled more than anyone else because of this!  I had an interesting fall off my bike on a downhill very windy stretch in the woods when I forgot to use my brakes.  Luckily I wasn't too badly injured and hopped straight back on to my bike.  It was a very fun day although quite tiring.

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me!

I am going to attempt to cycle 13.6 miles around the Letchworth Garden City Greenway on 16th May 2015.  I took part in the Kids Greenway Cycle Challenge last year riding on a tag-along attached to Bob's bike.  This year I will be riding my own bike.  It doesn't have any gears to help me cycle up the hills so I have to work really hard.  I have been riding my own bike for nearly a year now and can cycle fast, but I have never cycled this far before.  I think I can do it!

I am glad I can join in with the Kids Greenway Cycle Challenge to remember my friend Hugh's mum.  Everyone doing the ride is raising money for Garden House Hospice, which cares for people who are very sick.  Garden House Hospice needs to raise more than £1 million per year by donations.
