Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I haven't ran a half marathon before, even though my wife to be Claire has! So I reluctantly signed up with her to run my local half and I thought it would motivate me to run for charity. So I have chosen to run for AfghanAid, a charity close to my heart.
Having seen first hand the poverty in Afghanistan, I want to help do something about it and AfghanAid do just that. Despite conflict since the 1980's, AfghanAid has never left Afghanistan and now employ over 400 people in Kabul. They work alongside Afghan people living in poverty to enhance their opportunities and capabilities, so they can achieve sustainable economic and social development. So far they have helped ONE MILLION AFGHANs.
