I got involved through my work with Civil Service Local which looks to help our communities by working with marvellous organisations like St Catherine's Hospice in Preston to help people when they really need it. 

My friend and colleague Jayne Krol has made all this possible by bringing together a team of cyclists from the Civil Service. We're more used to sitting in offices than on saddles so please give what you can to help us raise money for such a good cause. We'll have very sore bottoms by the end of the day so will have earned a few quid, surely?
