We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

As you may be aware, Close Brothers Motor Finance, have been involved with Cancer Research UK for a number of years now, and this year we have decided to undertake our toughest challenge yet.

I have first hand experience of the effects cancer has on the sufferer and their family, having went through it with my own mum. Going through this made me want to help out as much as possible with cancer research to limit the suffering of anyone diagnosed with this terrible disease.

In order to do this, I have undertaken the Ben Nevis challenge. The challenge consists of climbing Ben Nevis is the Scottish Highlands, cycling 25 miles and canoeing across Loch Lochy.

I decided I needed to achieve something big in the year I turned 50 and the Ben Nevis challenge fitted the bill. I keep fit with Banbridge Spinning Studio and regular core classes with D&L Fitness Together. I am now stepping up my fitness routine in order to achieve my goal.

Close Brothers Motor Finance will match every donation that this page receives- pound for pound, which is extremely generous.

I would appreciate any financial support you can give and please don't forget to complete the Gift Aid section as that allows the charity to gain another 25%

Finally, I would like to dedicate this challenge to my mum, Florence Hannon, my loving and strong, inspiration for life, who sadly passed away in May 2011.
