When someone mentioned to me they were entering a ride to the beach I thought, well that sounds nice, I should sign up for that. So I checked the site, thought the cycle shirt looks nice and decided to sign up. It was only later, once I had signed up, that I realise what I had let myself in for, it was not just a ride to the beach but a 100 mile ride to tenby beach, which is about 8 hours in the saddle? 

Having not really done any cycling since I was a young lad, which as you know was a very very long time ago, The 100 miles was and is a daunting challenge. I then considered  the various hills that I would have to climb!!! 

But there again so is cancer a daunting challenge and with many ups and downs along the way, like the hills on the cycle. 

I have recently known a number of people who have experienced cancer and the 100 miles and the challenges of the hills are nothing to what they have to go through, so please find it in your heart to sponsor me, even if it's just a pound as even the smallest amount will help, as all the pennies and pounds soon mount up.
