As you may already know, terrorism has led to catastrophic raise in number of orphans. As I am a paediatric doctor who deals with children on daily basis. I can feel the suffer of orphans or socially deprived children. Their pain is so deep, which can even be highly aggravated by poverty.

In this event  I will be participating in the Manchester 10k run aiming to raise £10,000 for the Iraqi orphans who are victims of the terrorist ISIS.

On the 11th of November 2014, the United Nations refugee agency (UNHRC) released a statement estimating some 13.6 million people having been displaced due to the invasion by ISIS. Disturbingly, the numbers change by the day. ISIS has not spared any segment of the Iraqi nation. It has targeted Muslims, both Shia and Sunni, Christians, Kurds, Assyrians and Yazidis. At Camp Speicher alone an estimated 1,700 Iraqi young men were killed in a single day. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said that they were preforming 'widespread ethnic and religious cleansing in areas under their control'. Mass executions like Camp Speicher are not rare. They continue to this day. All these war crimes and others have been committed under the banner of Islam. Islam has nothing to do with these atrocities. Prophet Mohammed PBUH was a Mercy for all Mankind. As a Muslim, I look at people as Imam Ali put it as being either my brothers and sisters in religion or my brothers and sisters in humanity. Many Iraqis have been forced to leave their homes and are left with inadequate shelter, clothing and food supply. I would appreciate your support with whatever you can spare.
