Jay is a very close friend of mine, I have seen him every step of his traumatic journey, since being seriously injured in Afghanistan he has been so strong, his sheer determination and strength has seen him come be the person he is today. I am so proud of his achievements he is such an inspirational person. I feel that taking part in this event is just giving something back to Jays chosen charity which has supported him through every step of his journey.
Jay is planning a monumental 14 day cycle challenge across the States in September 2015. He want to make everybody aware of his Regimental Charity, Friends of The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.
This charity paid for his life changing surgery recently in Australia enabling him to walk after loosing his legs during military service. Some of you may have seen him on the news and at the Crawley Lumpini Martial Arts gym, pretty amazing.
He wishes to give back to the Charity who enabled this to happen.
I am happy to support the start of this epic fundraising journey. Giving back is a bit of a reoccurring theme in my life and this is just another chapter.
The PWRR relieve hardship or distress of former and serving members of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment and members of the former Regiments and their dependants
