We support families after a death on duty to help rebuild their shattered lives

Story

In 1995 I joined the Metropolitan Police. Within 2 years a young man joined my team..we immediately became friends and worked together whenever we could. On 25th Oct 1999 whilst I was in Australia my friend tragically died whilst doing the job he loved. Sid as he was known was loved by everyone. He was funny, handsome and just all round a really nice guy. By the time I returned from Oz his funeral had been and gone. I never did get a chance to say goodbye. When I heard about this ride I thought this would be an opportunity to do something on his behalf.
