As a member of the Expert Drug witness group for which EMBRACE is our chosen charity and having a wife who works in the child protection unit, i felt it was important for me to do my little bit to help.

Both my wife and i have seen the devastation caused to child victims of crime and their families. And believe that every little bit of kindness shown to these children by charities such as this can only help them to believe that the world is not just full horrible people and provide them with some hope for the future.

In order to do my little bit on the 7th May 2015 i will be cycling with four colleagues approximately 950 miles from John O'Groats to Lands end over a 9 day period. 

To put this cycle ride into context we will be cycling over 100 miles each day and some days will be over 120 miles.Taking into account my cycling ability which prior to starting training was nil, i am expecting to be in the saddle for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
