Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Mission RASI JustGiving page. Our goal is to raise S$750,000 (£375,000) for The Mission to Seafarers – the world’s largest international maritime welfare charity providing help and support to crews in ports worldwide.

Mission RASI is the first of its kind endurance relay row around Singapore.  On 22 and 23 April 2015, to coincide with Singapore Maritime Week and Singapore’s 50th anniversary year, 32 representatives of the international maritime community will row around Singapore Island.  These people, many of whom have never rowed before, plan to circumnavigate Singapore’s 140 km within 24 hours in two classic ocean-going rowing boats.

About the charity

Founded in 1856 and funded entirely by voluntary donations, The Mission to Seafarers offers emergency assistance and support to crews around the world. Whether victims of piracy or those shipwrecked or stranded, we’re there for the globe’s merchant seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs.
