Story
Mission accomplished, “the force was with us” and we managed to complete the 431miles from London to Blois.
The 4 climbs on the 3rd day and 130 bum numbing miles the last day are distant memories, thank goodness for Chamois cream. We made friendships that will last a lifetime and ate so many bananas that I am sure some of us are still scratching our backsides.
This was massive challenge for the all rides, however it is nothing compared the on going battles faced cancer victims and their families.
MacMillan Cancer Support, provide assistance to anyone who has crossed swords with this disease which can strike at anytime and discriminates against no one.
The Figures below are what REALLY matter:
£6,000 + raised by the Saint Gobain PAM team.£6,000 that Saint Gobain PAM agreed to match.
£90,000 = 3000 MacMillan nursing hours.£110,000 and counting that the 350 rides have raised to date.
Thanks to everyone for your messages of goodwill and support, it has been a humbling to hear some of your own experiences with this killer decease.
Cheers, Jim
