Story

As part of our initiative to raise money for Hope House, we are asking you to donate any good condition, unwanted items.  All you need to do is, get your marigolds on (Robbo we all know you have some!), do some spring cleaning and donate all those bits and bobs you’ve been meaning to sell, bin or leave in the garage/loft until you move again…..

Hope House are desperately in need of clean, unbroken, good quality items such as:

  • Books
  • Clothes for men, women and children - especially retro, vintage, bridal and evening wear
  • Shoes and handbags
  • Accessories including ties, belts and jewellery
  • Bric-a-brac and collectables
  • Foreign coins, stamps, old mobile phones and toner cartridges
  • Bedding, curtains etc
  • CDs, DVDs and *vinyl LPs (*under 30’s please see Smiffy, GV or DW for clarification)
  • Children's toys, games and baby equipment
  • *Furniture and household items

* Upholstered furniture must have a fire label attached for safety reasons.

Due to trading standards legislation, there are some items Hope House will be unable to accept. If you are at all unsure, please contact Smiffy and she will check with the Fundraising Manager.

Don’t worry if you have an item that you would struggle bringing into the office, speak to Smiffy and she should be able to arrange a collection for you.

If you happen to be passing by the collection point and see something of interest, by all means make an offer and the item can be all yours.

Donation dates are:
end of March 2015
end of June 2015
end of September
end of December/first week of Jan.
