On Friday 24th July, my best friend Catrin and I will be embarking on a 170 mile bike ride that will take us from London to Staffordshire over two and a half days. 

We are raising money for "Care of Police Survivors" (UK COPS - registered charity no. 1101478) which is dedicated to supporting the families of Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

There are 100 riders in total, all working as a team to get to the finish line on Sunday 26th July where we will attend a remembrance service at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire. Each rider will be given a metal memorial bracelet inscribed with the name of a Police Officer who lost their life, we will wear the bracelets for the duration of our ride and at the memorial service will hand them over to the Officer's family.

Any support is much appreciated- it is a very good cause. I have never done anything like this before so I wouldn't be surprised if Catrin ends up dragging me over the finish line! As long at there is a chilled bottle of prosecco and a huge slab of chocolate waiting for us at the end I'm sure we will make it!
