Story

This year the Chisholm Family is undertaking a series of gruelling challenges to raise awareness and hopefully a bit of money for the MNDA

On 14 June, Scott, Finn and hopefully Lucas will be completing a circuit of Rutland Water (23 or 17 miles if Lucas comes along) at the Warriors at the Water event. Ellen will be unable to participate as she will be wearing a fetching tabard, giving instructions in a firm yet friendly way, ensuring that the event is a big success.

On 18 July, Ellen will be completing a 20 mile walk from Uppingham to Stamford.

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.

We appreciate your generosity in helping us fight back against this disease.

All money raised will go to Stamford MNDA and then will be subsequently split between 50% Cambs, 30% Lincolnshire Group, 20% Rutland and Leicestershire
