In July last year Annie and I had breakfast in a remote farmhouse on the Pennine Way with a man named John Greer, who was in the process of walking from one end of the UK to the other. His inspiration was such that on 11th April 2015 I shall be standing at Lands End with a pack on my back about to start my own voyage of about 1100 miles on foot with the goal of raising as much money as possible for my two chosen charities. My planned journey will take me away from as many roads as possible and will follow parts of many of the National Trails such as The South West Coastal Path, Offa's Dyke, Ribble Valley, The Pennine Way, The Southern Upland Way, The West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way.
MNDA is the organisation that not only supports those who have been unlucky enough to contract this horrible wasting disease, known as Motor Neurone Disease, but also provides funding for research into the cure that does not exist at the moment. The money is needed urgently, so please give generously.
