We raise money to improve the lives of sports tetraplegics

Story

In June this year I am part of Team PolicyBee consisting of two guys and two girls taking part in the Snowdon Challenge.

The Snowdon Challenge is a long old slog. It consists of:

• 20 mile cycle to the foot of Snowdon

• 4 mile run to the peak of Snowdon and back

• 10 mile cycle to Llyn Gwynant

• 1.5 mile kayak

• 10 mile cycle to the finish.

We think it’s worth it, though, to raise money for our chosen charity, Regain.

Regain helps improve the independence of men and women who have become tetraplegic because of a sports or leisure injury. The charity provides grants to help provide these people with the specialist equipment they need to improve their independence and quality of life.

We have a couple of targets for the challenge. Firstly, we’re aiming to raise £2,000 to help this amazing charity. Every little helps so please give anything you can to support this cause.

Secondly, we’re hoping to complete the challenge in 8 hours, and to be the fastest mixed team in 2015! And we know we’ll pedal/run/row a little faster with your sponsorship behind us ;-)

I would really appreciated it if you could make a donation no mater how small.

About the charity

Regain is the only charitable organisation dedicated solely to improving the independence of all British men & women who have become tetraplegic as a result of a sporting or leisure accident. A tetraplegic is unable to walk and has limited reach & dexterity because use of the arms is severely impaired.
