I'm so excited about having the opportunity to sail in one of the largest yacht races in the world.

After two days training our inexperienced Keech team will race for up to 12 hours around the Isle of Wight.  I am a little daunted about spending three days living onboard a boat with nine colleagues on what could be very choppy waters.  We will race against world renowned sailors and other first time racers, approximately 1600 yachts will be competing.  We will have a Skipper to guide us but faced with the elements this will not be plain sailing....... 

Only 30% of funding for Keech Hospice care comes from the NHS which means that we rely on community donations like yours for the remaining 70%.
