I've never been good with spiders. Just picking the image for this page made me go cold. But the stomach tightening fear I get thinking about touching a spider can't be anywhere close to how it must feel having to face cancer. 

That's why, as part of Macmillan Challenge Mayhem, I have decided, with the assistance of the Telford Exotic Zoo, to try and face my fear by getting up close and personal with a tarantula.
