Story
At 3pm on the 17th of April 2015, Will and I will be setting course for The Arc de Triomphe, as we race 23 other teams from Bath University to the heart of Paris. However, neither a penny nor cent is to be wasted on transport, and if that wasn't enough, we will be trying to hitch lifts clad in outlandishly tricked out attire.
Specifics like #tag and costume to follow shortly. We are currently debating between the 118 118 team or Captain Jack Sparrow and a parrot (which I'm sure William will volunteer to be), but suggestion are welcome so long as they don't hamper our chances; I've had to rule out a couple on practical, political and moral grounds already.
All the proceeds will be donated to four great charities, though I'd like to single out Unseen as one that particularly resonated with me. I've put their video on here to raise awareness of the adversity they fight every single day.
It goes without saying that I would be grateful for any size donation, even if it's just the value of your next cheesy chips. Don't forget to GiftAid, and thanks for your time!
Unseen relentlessly works towards the eradication of human trafficking. It does this holistically, through developing front-line projects to undermine the perpetrating networks, caring for survivors and working with other organisations to raise awareness of this global malady. www.unseenuk.org.uk
