We fund biomedical research into ME to create a strategy for cure/treatment

Story

I have been a carer now for six years for a lovely 43 year old woman who has severe M.E. She has been too ill to leave her home now for nearly five years and completely bedridden for the last two years. She has had M.E now for 16 years.  It has had a devastating effect on her life, as it had on countless others, yet so little money has been spent on bio medical research to develop desperately needed treatments - and even better a cure - for this patient group and finally give them some quality of life.

Invest in M.E are a wonderful small charity led by volunteers who have big aims. They wish in the future to establish an examination and research facility for ME in Norwich, Norfolk, UK and are currently organising a study at UCL on rituxamab which has shown some benefits for people with M.E in smaller studies. They have managed to raise £368,000 so far towards their £450,000 target. I would like to raise some funds for this and awareness of M.E so my young daughter and I will walk 5 miles in May in aid of Invest in ME. Any donations, however small, are gratefully received.  Many thanks.
