Story
On April 20th 2014, our friend Max McKeown, was diagnosed
with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This means he has some nasty cancer germs which his medicine is helping him fight, but he has to take them for a long time and they make him feel rotten.
We really want to help Max and our Daddy, [Max's Godfather, Paul] is doing a massive challenge and completing an Olympic Triathlon on Saturday April 25th, raising money for the wonderful work that the doctors and nurses on ward 4 and 14 at the Great North Children's Hospital do to help.
As Daddy's training has increased ahead of the big event, we have become more aware of what is happening and want to help to raise some pennies and awareness. So on April 26th 2015, together with some of Max's closest friends, we will be doing our own 'mini tri 4 max" swimming 2 widths, riding our bikes to the park, and then running around the field before having a picnic.
This mini-triathalon is a mark of respect for the fight that Max is putting up and aims to raise awareness of ALL and the work of ward 4 at the Great North Children's
Hospital.
