From the 10th to the 13th of July I'll be embarking on the ride of my life, riding from London to Blois, in the Loire Valley, France, with 120 colleagues from across Saint-Gobain, to celebrate the Group's 350th anniversary (http://www.saint-gobain.co.uk/saint-gobain-350-years/). We'll be cycling 100 miles a day for four days, for me something I've never done before and very unlikely to do again, It's four hard days in the saddle and will require rigorous training, my missus will need to be very patient in the months preceding the ride. The demands of four torturous back-to-back days means I'll need to be training lots and lots and lots. It's a challenge I'm up for, though. We're raising money for the Saint-Gobain Together Partnership (http://www.saint-gobain.co.uk/about-us/charity-partners/) which this year is supporting two charities that do amazing work: Macmillan Cancer Support and the Irish Cancer Society.
