Story

Dear all,

A great friends son 'Bruno' was born and died in January 2012. To ensure a lasting tribute to him I have decided to take part in the 2015 'Bruno 200 Cycle Challenge', and join a team of cyclists to cycle 200 miles in two days through the Derbyshire Peaks, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors.

The challenge will be tough to say the least, taking in more than 60 miles of the 2014 Tour de France, Gand Depart route including the now famous Cote de Buttertubs Pass!

What's even more concerning is that the furthest I've ever ridden before is only 50 miles in one day....best get the vaseline and sudocrem ready...

Please note that all donations will ease the pain considerably... Thank you.

The 'Bruno Challenges' aim to raise £600,000 for a bursary, in Bruno's name, at Ampleforth College. The funds will be kept in endowment so that each and every year they generate £30,000 to cover the cost of one student in the school for that academic year. We have requested that the students receiving Bruno's Bursary over the years be from a background most needing help and support, the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people whose lives could change forever as a result of such a bursary at Ampleforth.
