Did you know that that every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft?

Did you know it can take  only £150 and 45 minutes to give a child a smile by repairing a cleft lip and/or palate ? 

Operation Smile provides free surgery to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for children around the globe.

Inspired by my husband's 30  plus years in dentistry and the actor Tom Burke's support of Operation Smile, I attended a fundraising carol concert last December (2014) organised by Operation Smile.  I met Tom and many of his fans (The Burketeers) and most importantly saw a video of the work Operation Smile had done in Vietnam in 2014(click on link below) . What amazing work! what amazing people.  Team Burketeers has now set ourselves the task of raising £10,000 by the 30th June 2015.  I intend that, with your help,this will be my first contribution to that total and that together we shall give smiles to two children somewhere in the world.
