Care of Police Survivors

Care of Police Survivors · 5 January 2015
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
I heard about Care of Police Survivors through a friend/colleague who was raising money for the Unity Tour in 2014.
Having read about the charity and hearing from my friend's experiences of meeting the families at the end of the tour, I decided to get involved in the 2015 ride.
All riders are allocated an individual bracelet endorsed with the name of a fallen colleague from any police force within the UK. Each of these officers died whilst on duty. I will be amongst 100 cyclists riding from The National Police Memorial on the Mall, London to The National Arboretum, Staffordshire (approx 180 miles) between 24th-26th July. On arrival I will meet the family of the officer I will be riding on behalf of to hand over the bracelet.
For the 2015 tour I will be riding in honour of Shazahan Wadud who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2013 whilst on his way to work. Shazahan was 29 years of age and left behind his partner, two children and his extended family.
