A football fun day in memory of a Dolgellau youngster who died in a car accident has raised over £4,000 for Lymphoma and Leukemia Research . David Smithies, 17 was killed in 2006 in a car accident. He was a very keen sport man. For the last six years his family have organised a football fun day in his memory, and have raised over £30,000 in total for charity. This year, the sixth David Smithies fun day was a successful day. The fun day goes from strength to strength every year and the Smithies family are thankful to all who have supported and donated kindly over the years. We cannot thank IPM Russell enough for fund matching our amount, our family & friends are so happy that Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research will benefit greatly from this.
