Both of my sons, Finley and Elijah got ill due to Strep-B just after being born. With Finley he got very ill and was kept in the special care unit in hosiptal. This happened and we knew about the risks of Strep-B as this is not tested or screened for millions of babies are at risk of infection which can lead to

blood poisoning (septicaemia)

infection of the lung (pneumonia)

infection of the lining of the brain (meningitis)
