We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

I do like a bit of competitiveness at the best of times and therefore loved the idea of doing the Royal Parks Half, which I hear is one of the best London events to do , but more importantly it gives me a chance to raise money for a very special charity.

This is for a very special little girl who I never had the pleasure to meet but has touched so many peoples lives through her strength and battle for life at such an early age. Beatrice was diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy and was cared for at Great Ormond Street Hospital where she sadly passed away on the 24th February.

Her mum, dad and brother are a true inspiration in their courage to continue on, through an immeasurable sadness, to ensure that Beatrice's positive legacy is upheld, with the hope of helping other children who may need the same level of care at GOSH.

About the charity

We fundraise to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Donations help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment.
