Much of a kid's understanding of the world comes from television and
their parents. If they're lucky they may be introduced to books. Sadly,
too many aren't. The creative smorgasbord which is The Spark's annual
festival shows the adults of the future that there is a world out there
with singing, music, dancing, painting, acting, creating, theatre and
nutty expression in all its guises. A world which isn't bookended by the
lukewarm cultural diarrhea of EastEnders and Britain's Got Talent. Our
children deserve better than that. Our children deserve The Spark.
If you can spare a humble pound towards the cause, that would be smashing. I'm throwing some money in too.
