We 're working to bring treatments for Rett Syndrome home

Story

Despite running a few Marathons in the distant past I hate running. It hurts my back, my hips and every other bodily part. At 15st I'm not really  built for it and at 45 I think gaining a personal best is way beyond me. I last ran in early 2011 and my training so far has been hell.

Despite this I'm running the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in Glasgow for a few reasons. Firstly, Gael and Gunter have assembled a huge Reverse Rett team and I'm looking forward to being part of it. secondly, I spent a lot of my childhood in Glasgow as all my family are proud Glaswegians and I'd like to run in memory of my Nannie and Papa (the route goes past my Mum's old school) and thirdly and most importantly Beth and Amber can't even weight bear never mind walk or run and I want to give them and all the girls a brighter future!

Please spare a few £££ to help make a cure for Rett Syndrome a reality.
