I am running the Great South Run 2014 in memory of my mother. She was not only my mum but my best friend, who sadly lost her battle to cancer on July 26th 2014. I am raising money for St Wilfrid's Hospice as in my mums final days the staff were second to none, nothing was too much for them and they actually cared.
It opened my eyes to see that the whole building is there just off donation, in which before mum was poorly I personally didn't know St Wilfrid's existed or what it was there for.
I feel that raising money for such an amazing cause will open more eyes and places like St Wilfrid's can get more support for volunteers, nurses and patients.
