The Royal British Legion spend £1.4 million a week supporting the Armed Forces past and present and hope to raise £500,000 for this event which will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

On a personal note I've been training really hard (everything is aching!) but really looking forward to finishing the ride at the Arc de Triomphe which they specially shut for the event (only the Tour De France also receives this honour) and of course having a cheeky beer to celebrate our achievements!
